A large pavement product manufacturer faced challenges when third party software interfaces became unreliable. This third-party infrastructure struggled to communicate with SAP and left the manufacturer to deal with errors in calculating sales tax, synchronizing customer data in a timely manner, and onboarding new customers. One of the greatest challenges the manufacturing company faced was not having access to real time data regarding product and material availability. The company struggled to maintain an accurate inventory database due to its customer facing and manufacturing systems being on two separate, noncommunicating platforms. The extra costs, time, and operational strain led the company to seek a system that could be their integrated POS (Point of Sale), supply real time data and supply chain visibility, and unify their operations with a simple point of truth solution.
